Bossypants
Summary (from the publisher): Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV.
She has seen both these dreams come true.
At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon — from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.
Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Review: Tina Fey is a boss. Her memoir is filled with anecdotes and humorous life lessons ranging from those towel animals they leave on your bed on cruises to hiking at night in college. I think my favorite thing about her stories is how down to earth Tina seems. She's very aware and up front about her flaws, about how she believes it was luck and hard work that got her where she is and not her own awesomeness, and she's not afraid to be herself. This book wasn't quite as hilarious as I was hoping, but only because I think it's difficult to convey humor through the printed form. That being said, it was still highly entertaining and I definitely laughed out loud at least twice. Fey's memoirs show how wonderfully random life can be and that taking it all in with a sense of humor makes everything (including being slashed, fearing sinking on a honeymoon cruise, and juggling SNL and a TV show) better. My only other complaint was this was a fast read. I wasn't ready to be finished reading it yet. I appreciate how humble she is and how she's not willing to take shit from anyone. A true American woman! Who happens to be a brilliant comedian. I hope she writes another one. Or better yet, I hope Amy Poehler and Tina Fey write a book together.
