Summary (from the publisher): Samantha organizes a talent show to raise money for a new roof for the library. She's too busy organizing to come up with an act of her own. But when the curtains come down, Samantha recognizes her own special talent at last.

Review: In this short story, Samantha is inspired by the leaking roof at her local library to organize a talent show to raise money for repairs. But she ends up being so busy organizing the event that she doesn't have time to come up with a special talent of her own for the show. 

This book didn't quite line up with the plots of any of the other full-length books (possibly because it wasn't authored by Valerie Tripp by many of others?), but it was still enjoyable. I do wish it had built upon characters or events from the main series in the way the other books do. However, the peek into the past still tied together with the story nicely, since it covered vaudeville shows that were popular during the time. The one thing I wasn't clear on was how the talent show raised money for the library. Did they charge an entrance fee? It never specified.
