With Aelin captured, friends and allies are scattered to different fates. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever. As destinies weave together at last, all must fight if Erilea is to have any hope of salvation.

Years in the making, Sarah J. Maas's New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an explosive conclusion as Aelin fights to save herself―and the promise of a better world.

Review: In this grand final installment in this epic series, Aelin remains locked within an iron coffin by Queen Maeve, enduring months of torture. Yet she refuses to yield, to doom those she loves. With Aelin captured, her friends and allies remain scattered. The future of Erilea looks dark. But those loyal to Aelin never give up nor does Aelin ever give in to her captors, and epic battles still await if they can save their lives and that of the kingdom.

In an effort to avoid spoilers, I am going to keep my review brief! It took me several books to get into this series, but now, at the end, I am fully invested. After thousands of pages together, I feel like I know the characters well and care deeply about their plight and survival. Much of this book feels grim. It's unclear at many turns who will survive. There is little time for the bonding and tender moments we got to have in previous books.

I did feel like overall we got the endings each of the characters deserved. I felt emotional at the end to say goodbye to the characters and a world I know so well. In some ways, I wish there were more final chapters or even a short follow-up novella to let us see what happened next!
